The council AED challenge

Local councils often manage dozens of AEDs across scattered locations - pools, parks, depots, libraries, community halls. Keeping them all compliant is harder than it should be.

Scattered Locations

Devices spread across dozens of facilities makes physical inspection rounds expensive and time-consuming.

Tracking Expiries

Spreadsheets get out of date. Paper logbooks go missing. Consumables expire without anyone noticing.

Audit Requirements

When auditors ask for compliance records, piecing together the evidence from multiple sources is painful.

AEDs across your community

One platform to manage devices at every council facility

Parks & Recreation

Sports ovals, playgrounds, skate parks, walking trails. Outdoor locations with high cardiac risk during exercise.

Libraries & Civic Centres

High-traffic public buildings serving all ages. Staff can easily complete inspections via QR code.

Community Halls

Events, markets, functions. Venues that host gatherings need reliable life-saving equipment.

Aquatic Centres

Pools and water parks with strict safety requirements. Critical equipment that must always be ready.

Works Depots

Council staff working outdoors, often in remote areas. First aid equipment that travels with crews.

Council Offices

Administrative buildings, customer service centres. Protecting staff and visitors alike.

Built for council operations

Features that make fleet-wide AED management practical

Delegated Inspections

Print QR labels for each device. Library staff check the library AED. Pool lifeguards check the aquatic centre AED. Central office sees everything without driving around.

Audit-Ready Reports

Export comprehensive compliance reports showing inspection history, expiry status, and maintenance records for every device. Ready when auditors come calling.

Site-Based Organisation

Group devices by facility. See at a glance which sites have compliant devices and which need attention. Perfect for managing large fleets.

Proactive Alerts

Email and SMS reminders before consumables expire. Notifications when inspections are overdue. Stay ahead of problems, not reacting to them.

Public Issue Reporting

Community members can scan the QR code and report problems they notice. Missing device? Damaged cabinet? You'll know immediately.

Public AED Map Integration

Opt-in to show your public AEDs on our community map. Help residents and emergency services find the nearest device during an emergency.

South Australian councils: AED requirements from 2026

The Automated External Defibrillators (Public Access) Act 2022 requires maintenance "in accordance with manufacturer instructions" for prescribed buildings. Council facilities that fall within scope will need documented maintenance records.
